Privacy policy

Information we collect

• Account info — email address and password (handled by Firebase Authentication; we never see or store your raw password).
• Order info — shipping address, items purchased, and order history, so we can fulfill your orders and let you track them.
• Payment info — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
• Contact/newsletter — whatever you enter in the contact form or newsletter signup (name, email, message).
• Cart contents— stored in your browser's local storage, not on our servers, until you check out.

How we use it

To process and ship your orders, send order-related emails (confirmations, shipping updates, back-in-stock alerts you've requested), respond to your questions, and — only if you've signed up for it — send the occasional newsletter update.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run the shop, each of which only sees what it needs to do its job:

• Stripe — payment processing.
• Shippo — shipping rates and labels, which requires sharing your shipping address with the carrier (USPS/UPS).
• Resend — sending transactional email (order confirmations, shipping updates).
• Firebase (Google Cloud) — account authentication and our database.
• Vercel — hosting, and anonymized site analytics/performance monitoring.

We don't sell or rent your information to anyone, for any reason.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the link in any newsletter email. To access, correct, or delete your account data, email us at info@haywoodmushrooms.com and we'll take care of it.

Children's privacy

This site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the update.
